Firstling (A Sense Of Truth Novel) by Emma Michaels
Firstling is the third installment in the Sense Of Truth series, and continues the awesome story of David and Megan, the latter having been introduced in the second book. The story is still kicking with unbeleivable twists and the signature drama between the characters that has drawn me into this series since book one.
New enemies arrive in this novel that throw in a new wave of obstacles in David and Megan's way, and throughout the whole book you can't tell who is the enemy and who is the friend, and at the end you're left with burning questions that will keep you drawn to the series for the next book.
All in all, Firstling in a gripping book that will draw you in just as the other two have done. Emma Michaels has done a spectacular job creating a wonderful series and I'm certain the next book will be just as amazing!

Insignia by S.J. Kincaid
When I first heard about Insignia, I was a bit skeptical. This novel isn't usually on my personal radar, but I had come across it by total chance on a message posted on Facebook by a friend, and I figured, "Why not?"
What I came across is definitely one of the best reads I've ever had the pleasure to experience.
Combining humor with undeniably genius science, S.J. Kincaid has woven a world that drew me in from the first chapter. When I first started reading, my initial skeptisism kept me at bay, but as I continued reading I found myself staying up late at night reading up to ten chapters at a time. Tom Raines, the main protagonist, is an infinitely relatable character and more than once I felt so connected with him it was as if I knew him in real life. At one point or another I had the same experience with every character. This book is one of the bests, and I will not be surprised should it someday receive a movie deal.

Teen Wolf: On Fire by Nancy Holder
Fans of Teen Wolf absolutely will love this book, because it holds all of the elements of the show with a literary twist. It was a bit difficult to start it off, as it attaches itself to a former episode in season one and trails off from there. But once you get into it it's hard to get out.
My favorite parts were the chapters from Derek's perspective. In the show he's such a mysterious character and we don't get to see too much into his head, but in this book we see much more than we could have hoped. With flashbacks to Derek's past leading up the the fateful fire that killed his family we see a side to Derek Hale we never saw in the show.
There were parts I wished the author would have capitalized on. One of them being Stiles. His character is no doubt the funniest in all of the show, and I feel he was tossed aside a little too carelessly in this novel. The parts he was involved in were spectacular, but they were too far in between all of the Derek angst and the Scott and Alison kissing.
This was definitely a great book, and I highly recommend it to all Teen Wolf fans!

Winter Sparrow by Estevan Vega
Winter Sparrow is a testimont to the skill author Estevan Vega possesses. It may only be a novella, but it holds the power and captivity of a full length novel.
Winter Sparrow starts off with Mary, the main protagonist, and her husband-to-be, Joshua, going to their future home; a mansion left behind by Joshua's father. Mary is dealing with powerful self-doubts and a troubled past she is unable to fully escape from, disabling her from loving Joshua fully. After their marriage, tragedy strikes and her heart grows cold towards her husband, and in a sick twist the two of them are sucked into a place neither wish to be.
The novella is written in a style that draws you in from the very first page to the last. Vega shows once again he has the skill and wit of a best-selling author with his new piece of work with an ending that will leave you in shock and awe.

Anasazi: A Sense Of Truth Novel Book 2 by Emma Michaels
After reading "The Thirteenth Chime" by Emma Michaels I knew this book would be amazing. Though there was slight doubt in my mind, as a lot of books lose stride in their sequel, but this was certainly not the case here with "Anasazi."
Megan Haines, the lead character of this book up until David from the first book reenters, is a seriously funny and charismatic character that I fell in love with from the first page. Her witty remarks in the face of trouble had me laughing and smiling throughout this whole book, and her determination to find her one true love - David - was certainly admirable. And as always David comes in with a great comment or two.
This book has a lot of depth to it. The details about the Hopi and Navajo tribes were impressive, showing that Emma Michaels certainly wasn't kidding around when writing this book. She put in the time and effort to portray the legends of the old Indian tribes correctly, and she did a fantastic job!
Though I would have loved to learn more about what it is David has forgotten - mentioned in the first book - it just makes me even more eager to read the next book to figure out who David Kings really is!
Prognosis: AMAZING book! If you pass up on this then it'll be a MAJOR mistake!

The Thirteenth Chime: A Sense Of Truth Novel by Emma Michaels
The Thirteenth Chime is one of those interesting, suspensful, smart, funny, unique novels that comes along only every so while. It's a perfect blend of all of these things and more!
I personally related a lot with David, and not just because he's the male protagonist. He's caring and devoted, despite the wrongs he's been presented in the past. He's ready for any challenge and doesn't let up until he completes his task. In the beginning of the book, when he's first introduced, he's in the middle of a suspensful situation that could have cost him his life but he pulls through with his wit and tenderness. And even in the worst situations he comes out with a witty remark.
The novel is full of clever humor; the characters cracking small jokes even in the face of danger. More than once I found myself tightening my grip on the book as a suspensful scene played out only to nearly drop the book laughing.
This was defintely worth the read! Emma Michaels is a talented author who writes with a passion and wit you don't get to see everyday. Overall, this is a definite must read!
